IPO: the process from an inside perspective

The Bocconi Student Finance Society is pleased to present, as part of its Corporate Finance cycle of events, a hearing about all the aspects of an IPO process .

This presentation is aimed at introducing the fundamentals of an Initial Public Offering, with a presentation from professional representatives from the sector and a hands-on and challenging business case.

The Society will host guest speakers from Barclays, with a professional background in ECM and many years of experience within the Banking industry. 
This event is dedicated to students from all courses, interested in gaining a deeper knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets and equity transactions that do not only impact institutional investors, but also retail ones.

The Bocconi Student Finance Society is pleased to present its first event dedicated to online trading platforms and their usage. Key aspects of individual trading along with its benefits and risks will be introduced to the limited participants. This presentation is aimed at informing students who are new to trading, as well as the ones who are already experienced in the field and wish to gain practical knowledge. The Society will host a guest speaker from IWBank (Italy’s main trading platform provider) with a professional background in trading and many years of experience with its online platforms. edicated to students from all courses, the event’s goal is that of enhancing interest in trading activities and increasing awareness towards this up and coming tool.

Growth Opportunities

After four events, the Society held the first one-day conference entitled “Finding Growth Opportunities in the European Economy” at Bocconi University, in Aula Maggiore on November 16th, 2013. The main topic of the conference has been the discussion of European growth opportunities. The Society has contacted leading professionals from the Finance environment. The conference was made up of six speakers presenting their studies on the topic mentioned above: Prof. Andrea Beltratti (Universita’ Bocconi), Fabio Caldato (Albemarle Asset Management), Massimo Caputi (Grandi Stazioni SpA), Gilles Guibot (AXA Investment Managers), Emanuele Levi (360 Capital Partners), Chris Saunders (Bank of America Merryll Lynch) and Antonio Da Ros (Lazard).
